Most issues relating to Codelock's products can be resolved with a quick telephone call or email to our Customer Services team. If necessary, we can arrange for one of our product specialists to call you back and help you get your lock back up and running.

  • Distributor must contact Codelocks Tech Support at 1-877-263-3562 prior to return of any product.
  • Proof of Purchase date is required to determine if the product is under warranty. (Distributor Invoice)
  • Customer should be advised that Codelocks will inspect all products upon receipt.
  • No credit, repair or replacement of product is authorized until factory evaluation.
  • If determined by telephone call that the product is defective, an RGA will be issued.
  • At Codelocks discretion, credit, repair or replacement may be issued upon inspection.
  • If Tech Support can’t determine the product is defective over the telephone, an RGA will be issued.
  • Once the evaluation is complete and determined that the product is defective, at Codelocks discretion, credit, repair or replacement may be issued.
  • If after evaluation the product is determined to not be defective, the product will be returned to the sender (Distributor or Dealer)
  • If product is damaged, wires cut, threads damaged, fasteners stripped, etc., Codelocks will offer the option to purchase replacement parts.


You should check to see that all items listed on the despatch note match those contained in your package when You receive it. If they do not please notify us immediately.

Returns Procedure

Faults caused by misuse, abuse and or poor fitting are not covered by the guarantee.

In the first instance we would advise customers to contact us, as most technical / fitting issues can be resolved this way.

Products will need to be returned to Codelocks Ltd with a completed Returns Form for assessment by our technical staff. Should the fault with the returned product be due to a manufacturing fault then it will be repaired, serviced or replaced FOC. A service/repair note will be sent back with the product.


Receiving a Refund

Refunds can only be requested by the purchaser and will made by the original payment method within 30 days of the original order date. Our Service Department will need to receive the goods first in a saleable condition and in its original, undamaged packaging.


Codelocks Warranty

Codelocks Inc. warrants all products to be free from manufacturing defects in material and workmanship which carries a TWO Year Limited Warranty on Electronic Codelocks and KitLocks and a limited lifetime warranty on Mechanical Codelocks and KitLocks and its conditions, limits and policies.

Codelocks Inc. warrants its PVD Finish with a ONE Year Limited Warranty against TARNISHING on both the Electronic and Mechanical locks to the original purchaser or premise owner at the location originally installed. This warranty does not cover damages from scratches or abrasions, abuse, or misused products, effect of climate conditions, or damages from chemical or abrasive actions from harsh or caustic cleaning materials, methods or polishing practices. All finishes warranties are limited to Codelocks Inc. locksets and components originally furnished with PVD finish only.

Products sold by Codelocks Inc. but manufactured by other companies carry the warranty of the original manufacturer and not the warranty of Codelocks Inc.

Our warranty does not cover defects or damages arising from improper application or installation, improper maintenance, improper storage, shipping and handling damage, ordinary wear and tear, misuse, abuse, accidental damage, unauthorized service, improper power, voltage or battery use, leaking or defective batteries, unauthorized modifications to any part of the lock or locking mechanism, damage caused by improper disassembly techniques or tools, damage caused by improper code changing techniques, Acts of God or natural causes and disasters, or use with unauthorized non-Codelocks products or parts.

Liability under all warranties expressed or implied is limited to and at the discretion of Codelocks to repair or replacements of the defective product. This warranty does not cover nor provide for reimbursement or payment of incidental or consequential damages, or any installation, removal, repair, replacement or other labor charges or costs or any shipping charges related to exercising this warranty.
