Add more convenience and control to electronic locker locks with new ‘Slam it’ slam latch mechanism

KitLock today announces a new add-on product for use with its KL1200 electronic locker. ‘Slam it’ is a slam latch locking mechanism that allows the locker or cabinet door to be pushed shut without having to turn the handle on the lock to secure the door.

“Instead of using a lock and key to secure locker and cabinet doors, more and more healthcare, educational and leisure organisations are opting for the convenience and control brought by using modern digital locks,” explains Grant Macdonald, managing director of Codelocks.

“Digital locks can be configured to allow private access to the contents of a locker or cabinet. This function is frequently used on personal lockers in schools and in many workplaces. ‘Slam it’ is a new accessory ideally suited to this type of application. The slam latch automatically secures the locker or cabinet door when it’s pushed shut – there’s no need to remember to turn the handle before entering the code to lock the locker.

”The slam latch is designed for installation with the keyless KitLock 1200 locker lock. It is very robust and can be used on wooden or steel lockers and cabinets on new installations or as a retrofit. ‘Slam it’ costs £14 to purchase and is available to order immediately from http://www.codelocks.co.uk/products/view/slam_latch_for_kl1200_kitlock or by calling 0800 393405.

About KitLock

KitLock is a convenient and stylish alternative to traditional key cam locks that uses a four-digit code rather than a key to secure lockers and cabinets. Key management can be a major concern for facilities, estates or maintenance managers looking after lockers or cabinets in schools, universities, hospitals, data centres, gyms and leisure centres, due to the high numbers that get lost or stolen. KitLocks are stylish, very easy to fit and are sold with ‘everything you need in the box’ to fit them, including parts, instructions and templates.
